Below are descriptions of the classes Baldev teaches. Check out frequently asked questions or contact us if you have questions.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, was brought to the West in 1968 by Yogi Bhajan. This powerful and dynamic practice incorporates all aspects of yoga. Results can be felt in the first class, and regular practice can help develop physical vitality, strengthen the immune, nervous and glandular systems.
Kid’s Yoga
Classes for kids focus on movement and fun, using some of the same exercises as for adults, but with more playacting. Exercises are done for shorter times, and certain pranayam or breathing techniques are eliminated. Classes are geared towards ages 8-12.
For the children’s after school program, Baldev will pick up children who attend Bryker Woods Elementary School and walk them over to the yoga studio at 3400 Kerbey Lane.
Beginner’s Series
The 4-week beginner’s series teaches the basics of Kundalini yoga — breath (pranayam), kriya, mantra, mudra, bandhas, meditation. Classes are held twice a week. Extra time is given to explanation, and exercises are geared towards beginners. No prior experience is necessary, but pre-registration is required.
